Join ASID GA as we explore “Work Well | Live Well”!
SPONSORED BY ADAC
Student Day is where students from Interior Design programs in
schools throughout Georgia gather at ADAC for the opportunity
to participate in the everyday design environment and
experience what a career in design is really like.
This year our spotlight is on WELL Building Standards®.
WELL is the first building standard to focus exclusively on the
health and wellness of the people in buildings. WELL takes a holistic
approach to health in buildings and communities
- addressing behavior, operations, and design.
The WELL Building Standard® focuses on seven concepts:
Comfort and Mind
The day begins with a Charrette Competition where 10 student teams are
challenged to develop a residential or commercial design
presentation focusing on WELL Building Standards®.
After lunch, we kick-off the afternoon with a panel discussion featuring
industry designers who understand the value of human health and wellness
in the built environment. This select group bring a unique perspective
and will illustrate the important role of the design community
in implementing WELL Building Standards®.
At the end of the day, judges from the ASID GA design
community will select a winner of the Charrette Competition.
