Sustainability in Design: Eco-Friendly Practices and How Designers Can Lead

This is an IN-PERSON CEU at Ernest Gaspard at ADAC. A light lunch and refreshment will be provided. Zoom link will also be provided.

 

This class is accredited through the IDCEC, not any other organization. Those who are a part of the ASID, IIDA, and IDC can receive credit if a valid IDCEC # provide.

  • Learn how sustainable practices in the design, development and manufacturing of premium lighting fixtures create a longer product lifecycle, support design and community priorities, and minimize environmental impact.
  • Explore the drivers of a rising demand for sustainability in interior design and how to use this information to educate clients about thoughtful, long-lasting design options.
  • Recognize why preserving and utilizing artisan legacy techniques and craftsmanship can reduce the interior design industry’s environmental impact and use this information to source responsible choices.
  • Learn how to select made-to-order, eco-friendly lighting fixtures and understand how this choice contributes to designing high-quality spaces tailored to your client's requirements.
